Miss Colorado Walks On Stage in Nursing Scrubs. Now watch when she looks up...

Miss Colorado skips the song and dance, talks about nursing

While other contestants sang, danced or played instruments for the talent competition on the second night of preliminaries in Atlantic City, Kelley Johnson, Miss Colorado, delivered a unique monologue about experience as a nurse. Watch it and please SHARE with your friends!

For the nurses that read this, please remember that you are not "Just a Nurse" to us! You are our friends!

For everyone else please remember that Nurses are people too & they have families, just like you, & they have feelings too, just like you!

Treat them with kindness & the respect they deserve! They chose to be a nurse, mostly because they like to help others. Let them, don't demand that they help & care for you!! Treaty them with dignity and compliment them often, for they are people, just like you!

Don't forget to let their supervisors know how much you appreciate & admire your nurse(friend), for they may be too busy to see how well your friend treated you! Always give them a smile with your "Thank you", for they, after all, are people too, just like you!

The fine ladies at The View decided to say some pretty terrible things about nurses

The fine ladies at The View decided to say some pretty terrible things about nurses. They specifically were talking about the Miss America contest when Miss Colorado, Kelly Johnson, went up on stage wearing a stethoscope and her scrubs. She talked about how she was a nurse talking about patients with Alzheimer's.

Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian (The Point) hosts of The Young Turks discuss. Do you think the comments that the women of The View made about nurse were too much? Let us know what you think in the comments.

“The View’s Joy Behar is facing the wrath of thousands of angry nurses after she questioned why Miss America contestant and nurse Kelley Johnson was wearing “a doctor’s stethoscope” onstage during her monologue. Bad move, Joy.

During the talent portion of Sunday night’s pageant, Johnson, competing as Miss Colorado and wearing her scrubs and stethoscope, gave an impassioned monologue about caring for a patient with Alzheimer’s.”
